Angus Meyer

Angus is an Associate Partner with the firm and is Head of Real Estate. 

Angus has over 14 years’ experience within the property sector.  He spent 5 years as a Senior Portfolio Manager where he concluded various equity and mezzanine debt transactions within South Africa.  He had a brief stint with Old Mutual where he provided equity transactions within South Africa and Eastern Europe, specializing in the industrial property sector.   Previously, he worked as an Analyst at Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking.  He also has experience as a property manager working for City Property.

Angus has completed single transactions in the listed sector worth ZAR3.75 billion and he has unlisted deal execution experience of between ZAR200 – ZAR500 million.  He successfully assisted in building up the equity portfolio book of Sasfin Property equity by achieving an average IRR of over 18% Year On Year (“YOY”) over 3 years.  He was also the main equity provider acting for a previous employer, for the Atterbury Industrial portfolio whereby he deployed over ZAR400 million worth of equity and achieved an average IRR of 19% for those investments.

Angus holds a BCom Honours in Economics  (University of Johannesburg), Property Investment & Management from UCT, and a PGDip in Portfolio Management & Investment Analysis.
