Owen Maubane

Owen is the Chairman and CEO of Senatla Capital and its Private Markets funds, where he chairs the Investment Committees. He also chairs a number of the firm’s Private Markets funds’ portfolio companies.

Owen has significant equity and debt transaction experience as a transaction advisor and Private Equity investor, with deals concluded valued in the Billions of Rands.

Owen was a founder and first secretary-general of the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals (“ABSIP”). Owen serves as a trustee of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, where he serves on the Investment Committee. Owen is also a member of the Investment Analysts Society.

Owen graduated from Stanford University with an economics degree. He has in excess of 25 years’ investment banking and investment management experience at various financial institutions, including having been a Deputy Chief Executive of a JSE listed, registered bank.
