

Dr. José-Luis is the Managing Partner of the Senatla Capital Infrastructure Fund I.
He is an Investment and Corporate finance professional with over 28 years of project and corporate finance experience, a significant part of which had an Africa and developing markets focus.
Dr José-Luis has extensive experience in project finance, as Team leader, Key Expert and Consultant in international projects funded by the European Union, The European Investment Bank, USAID, the World Bank and the IFC, amongst others.
He has specific experience in conducting due diligences on investment projects, setting up and management of sizeable international investment cooperation programs mainly in the energy sector, facilitating project preparation and financing of clean energy projects through the development of innovative financing instruments and promoting awareness campaigns to increase foreign investment in the clean energy sector.
José-Luis is currently the CEO of VerdAbility , a boutique consulting firm, focused on transaction advisory work for major Development Finance Institutions, Commercial Banks, Private Developers and Investment Funds.

Prior to this he was CEO of a 75MW wind power project in Estonia, Baltic Republics, European Union, 70% owned by Spanish listed renewable energy company, FERSA. He was Instrumental within FERSA in raising Euro 151 million at the Spanish stock exchange.
He was also Managing Director at Chicago Booth Campus Europe in Barcelona and prior to that Managing Director of Honeywell ESCO, an Energy Service Company created as a joint venture between Honeywell, the IFC (World Bank Group) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Dr José-Luis has also held several positions at Honeywell ESCO in various countries including in Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, and USA on Energy Services related positions.
Dr José-Luis holds an MBA in Finance from Chicago Booth and an M.Sc. in Agri Industries Engineering. He also holds a Ph.D. in Development Finance from the Stellenbosch University Business School.
