Gideon Nkadimeng

Gideon is an Independent Member of the SCEF II, SCEF III and SCEF IV Investment Committees.

Gideon is an investment executive with Yellowwoods. Gideon was the Strategic Investments Manager with the Old Mutual Emerging Markets Group Strategy, a division of Old Mutual Life Assurance Company.

Previously, Gideon ran his own Private Clients business, where he advises medium-sized corporates and consortia on corporate opportunities as well as fundraising. He has consulted on the following sectors: Media, Telecommunications, Financial Services as well as the Steel and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (“FMCG”) industries.

Gideon was previously Director and Private Equity Principal at Shanduka Fund Managers, managing the Shanduka Value Partners Fund 1, a US$50 million private equity fund. He spent six years with the Shanduka Group.

Prior to that, Gideon worked at Hollard/Capricorn Capital, Real Africa Durolink Investment Bank, Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group and Metropolitan Life, gaining in aggregate over 17 years’ experience in the financial services industry.

Gideon has served on several corporate boards and is currently a director of Lombard Insurance Company Ltd, Lombard Life Insurance Company Ltd, Seacom South Africa Ltd and Loadstone Brands Ltd, amongst others.
